Our Work | Green WaterHut

Our Work

From evidence to lasting community impact. Green WaterHut operates on a five-pillar model that guides our projects and partnerships.

01 — Research

We build the evidence base for sustainable resource use — from vulnerability mapping in Northern Ghana to the baseline ecological surveys underpinning current riparian restoration work.

02 — Design

We design solutions that work on the ground, including performance-based tree planting models, fuel-efficient cookstove programmes and community fish pond systems built to Fisheries Commission standards.

03 — Consultancy

We build capacity in communities and institutions, supporting community structures to govern and sustain restoration efforts.

Youth training in environmental stewardship
04 — Education

We train the people who make projects work, including youth Ecosystem Restoration Stewards, women involved in cookstove construction and pond management, and community members in monitoring and evaluation.

05 — Publishing

We document and share what we learn through success stories, technical evaluations and lessons for replication.
